DIY: Mojito Body Scrub
Who doesn’t love a good body scrub? I made this mojito body scrub with a bunch of my girlfriends at a make and take I had at my house and it was a hit! The best part is that it is made from all plant based ingredients and no harmful chemicals that you can’t pronounce because you are worth using only the best on your skin! Summer is in full swing here and my skin is starting to feel the effects of the sun and most of all, the pool. Chlorine dries out my skin something terrible and lotion alone wasn’t cutting it, so naturally, I had to DIY my…

What I Learned When I Walked My Kids to School
We only live 0.5 miles away from Alex’s school. Before he started Kindergarten, I had grand ideas of walking to school with him while pushing the littler two in the stroller, dogs in tow. Ah, what a glorious morning walk that would be! We walked to school a few times when it was warm, but not as often as I thought we would. The dogs got tangled up very easily, C didn’t want to be pushed in the stroller, Alex complained. It was a mess. Over the weekend, I decided we needed to start walking to school more often and I learned a lot from our first walk on Monday.…

Cloth Diaper Guilt: Making the Switch to Disposables
We started our cloth diaper journey when Alex was around 5 months old. A friend introduced me to the idea and was so kind as to send us a big box of her own diapers to try out so we could ultimately decide A) if it was for us and B) what brand we liked the best. It was really exciting to think of all the money we could save and the environment, too! Pretty much from that moment, we were in. You can’t get around the fact that cloth diapers can save you thousands of dollars. Especially if you use the same diapers for more than one kid; which…
