A photo on Instagram that I posted a while back of my Crochet Bobble Clutch had some bows scattered around it. Apparently everybody likes bows because I got quite a few questions about them! I finally sat down and wrote out how I made them and made a video for my visual learners!
These are so simple and easy and they take like, 5 minutes. They are also really freaking adorable so you’re going to want to make some of these. Promise.
Bows!
I made a few of these for Madi and attached them to clips a few years back (like I’ll show you below). I’ve also attached them to hair ties which turned out so cute! I wear those and they make me feel fancy when my hair is in a mom bun!

What You’ll Need
- small amount of worsted weight (4) yarn
- I hook
- small sewing scissors
- empty clips or hair ties
- tapestry needle
Stitches used
- ch – chain
- slst – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- dc – double crochet
Stash Buster Crochet Bow Pattern
Ch 19
Row 1: Slst in second ch from hook, sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, slst in next 6 ch, sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, 2 slst into last ch. Turn work.
Row 2: sc in next st, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, slst in next 6 ch, sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc. Slst into last ch. Finish off and weave in ends.
Tie bow into a knot and attach to clip. You can also tie these into a knot around a hair tie! Or however else you want to use these bows!
