Crochet headband pattern inspiration
I’m usually a beanie sort of person. Having my head completely covered when it’s cold is usually necessary (mostly because I’m a baby when it comes to the cold! Ha!) but lately have been getting annoyed with having to take my hair down from my ever-present mom bun each time I needed to go outside.
I knew I needed to come up with a super quick solution to this. I love using simple stitches to make beautiful items and this woven-look headband is no different. The use of the moss stitch combined with super chunky yarn was exactly what I was looking for. It works up quickly and is super warm and I can pop it on my head no matter what hairstyle I have going on! The best part is that this one is super beginner friendly!
Fear not! For those who hate working in the round, you will work this headband in one long rectangle and seam it together!
Why Super Bulky Yarn for a crochet headband?
Super bulky yarn (weight 6) was the best choice for this project because it needed to be super simple and quick to work up while still being gorgeous and beginner friendly! When I need a solution, I tend to need it like, now and don’t have the patience for long, drawn out projects.
Super bulky weight yarn looks luxurious and is easy to work with. Lion Brand Hometown or Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick are my top choices when it comes to weight 6 yarns. They are inexpensive but look amazing and the color choices are endless!
