Free Pattern: Crochet Reindeer Hat – Toddler Size

If you are looking for the 6-12 month size of this hat, you can find it here!

It’s starting to get colder here in Ohio, so I had Alex pick out the hat he wanted me to make him for the upcoming winter.  He is really into airplanes right now, so he chose Dusty the Crophopper.  He’s always keeping me on my toes!  If I pull this one off, I’ll be sure to share it with you all 🙂

I’ve had a few requests for a larger version of my Rudolph crochet hat (size 6-12 months) that I made Christian last year, so I thought I would get it up for all of you who are on top of it and will have a hat finished for your child before Thanksgiving! 🙂  It’s a good thing I have a bucket of hats that are “so last year” to keep my kids warm until I finish their newly requested hats.

Now you will have this pile of appendages and you will want to attach them to your main hat using your tapestry needle.

Reindeer hat 1

First attach the small part of the antler to the larger part of the antler about half way up.  Repeat with the second antler.  Now attach the antlers to your hat and attach the ears under each antler.  Center the nose along the bottom front of the hat and attach the buttons above and on either side of the nose.

Now put it on your child and see how happy they become because they look so adorable!  It’s magic 🙂  Also, this is quite possibly one of my favorite pictures of Christian.  It gives me all the feels.

Reindeer hat 4

It is super cute without earflaps, too!
