Today I am going to share a DIY for your kiddos! I am a part of a Mom’s Club and I was super pumped when they said we were gong to have a busy bag exchange! There were 10 moms participating and we all got to pick out which busy bag we wanted to make. We then made 10 of each and exchanged! So now, I have 10 awesome busy bags for Alex to play with when I need to get something done.
To make my felt pizza crust, I started out with a half yard of tan colored felt, folded in half. I used my smallest mixing bowl, which was about 8.25″ in diameter, and traced 5 circles onto my felt. I then cut out the circles and was left with 10 pizza crusts!
Next came the sauce. I used the same mixing bowl to trace a circle onto my red felt. I cut it out all wavy like just inside the circle that I traced.
Voila! Sauce!
For the cheese, I used a cereal bowl which was about 6″ in diameter and white felt folded in half. Trace, cut, repeat 5 times.
Up next, pepperonis. I used a cap that I had laying around the kitchen. It was about 1.75″ in diameter. I made 5 pepperonis for each pizza, but you do what you need to do! I’m not the topping police. I just used my scrap red felt from my sauce.
For the mushrooms and the peppers, I just freehanded them onto the felt and cut them out.
Here is the finished product! Hopefully it will keep your kids busy for hours and hours at least a few minutes.
If you are having your own busy bag exchange, just toss it all into a gallon zipper bag and hand them out to your friends!
Thanks so much for checking this post out! Have a great Thursday =]
