A few days ago, our little man took his first steps! He has been standing a lot lately on his own, he seems to really enjoy that independence. He’s been walking with his walking toy (and crashing into everything) and when holding our hands, so John thought he’d do a little experiment on his lunch hour the other day. He set Alex on his feet a little bit in front of himself so they were facing each other. Alex just stood there for a few seconds then took a couple steps towards John before doing a little tumble! Squealing ensued (from me) and then he had basically no interest in trying again until the next day. I think he’s dragging this out for the most possible attention =] Whatevs. I’ll take it! He was so proud of himself. Soon he will be running laps around the house. Hooray! Sorry for the less than perfect photo, the kid is never still anymore!
Well, I stuck with our monthly photo shoot for the second month in a row! Whaaat? It was pretty spontaneous because snow unexpectedly started to fall during morning nap, so I got the camera all charged and ready to go! I didn’t want to miss my opportunity; snow has been hard to come by lately! Right when Alex woke up, we got bundled and went outside before he knew to protest. Win! I’m so glad we went out when we did because the snow was gone by the afternoon. Here are a few of my faves =]
Today, we are battling a little cold and fever, but hopefully it’ll be all better after a lot of rest today! Tomorrow Sarah, Jose, and Parker are coming to visit for the weekend! Woot! Can’t wait to see them!
